Wedding at Aristide Mansfield: Janeisha + Therral

Wedding Date: 3/3/18

Wedding Location: Aristide Mansfield

Describe your wedding planning process. My wedding planning process was simple. I created a design and design board that I wanted. I decided to use vendors that could execute my ideas and my vision and add their personal touch to make the design even more amazing.

How long were you engaged? Who helped plan? Did you hire a planner? What planning tools did you use? What turned out to be your best decision surrounding the big day?

We were engaged for about a year. I used The Knot wedding planning book for design colors and to keep track of certain aspects of the wedding and as for help with planning I didn't receive any help. That's why I decided to hire planners to execute and add their input to the ideas that I wanted to incorporate into my reception and ceremony.

Recap your big day for us. was AMAZING! The best day ever! It was literally EVERYTHING that I dreamed of. I felt so blessed to be marrying my dream husband at my dream wedding.

What made you laugh? What made you cry? What were the most memorable moments? What unexpected things happened that weren't planned for?

What made me laugh was us being us. We're goofy so he knows what faces to make and all. Sometimes I can just look in his eyes and I swear we're thinking the same thing and will just laugh...that happened quite often on our special day.

What about the details?

Oh the details. All that glitters is Gold was the MOST ACCURATE hashtag for us. The gold mirrored table was EVERYTHING and all of the lil classy gold edibles was the icing on the cake. From the gold detailed white chocolate covered strawberries, the gold and blue and gold and white macaroons, the gold candies, the gold donuts....It was hawt. Also what was breath-taking was the reception space as well. The music playing with the crystal centerpieces and the flowers on our tables with with the candles. Honestly the whole wedding took my breath away. Then to top it all off with our lil get away rolls royce. WOWZERS. 2 months later and people are still talking about every single detail of our wedding. Others have even went as far as to call our vendors to help them with their events.

What was your vision/theme? How did you bring it to life?

My theme was " All that Glitters Is Gold" I brought it to life with my vision and my planners execution and vision. I wanted a couture, classic, and romantic but elegant look. When our guests walked in I wanted them to say WOW AND get a sense of my style but feel really inclusive and intimate. I really wanted to bring Therral and my's relationship in the form of a room design.

What's the best advice you can give a bride and groom planning their wedding?

My best advice is he same advice that I was given/warned of...don't let the day pass you by. Soak it up, live in the moment, enjoy it and have the one couple to actually remembers your day and all of the details because it'll go by so fast.

What do you look forward to most as Mr. & Mrs.?

Just to live life together, travel and hopefully be blessed to start a family.

What has surprised you most during the first few weeks of marriage?

Honestly, not much. We're just the same...friends with benefits hehe. Our relationship was built with a foundation that will always remain: God, friendship, love and FOOD lol.

Your vendors:

Honestly ALL of my vendors deserve recognition. I felt like I had a dream team specifically chosen for me. They were all very detailed oriented and simply put ON POINT. wITH THAT BEING SAID, Lance P from My DFW DJ was amazing! I actually plan to call him again in the near future , Brianna Dickson, because my pictures were THE BOMB! Chix and Glitz were simply amazing, Lorin Benson the caricature artist, Dan McMahan, the caricaturist and Chirs Galvin his colleague they were a hit! And to top off my experience my videographer Christian DaCosta, Aristide Mansfield, Milestone Catering, The London Caker Baker for personally helping me with the design of my cake and executing that like a pro. She was the only person in all of DFW that could pull our cakes off confidently, Keya P the artist my make up artist, marquee rentals, shag carpet rental, amuse bake shop for our amazing gold inspired macaroons, papayuns donuts for our gold donuts, rolls royce dfw for their customer service and family oriented business, the treated us like family and I loved the service; and lastly The Squire Shop in fort worth for Therral's amazingly custom suit and Calla Blanche for my amazing dress.
